My name is Shanna. I work in the film industry. Art department is my home. This blog acts as my reminder of all things career related.
Working on this video was kind of my 12-year-old self’s dream come true. It was a pleasure working for Linkin Park because they’re all great guys that are all really professional and laid-back. Every one is always having a good time and enjoying what art department presents. Being able to create something that looks one way at the beginning and turning it into a functioning set has always been one of my favorite things about production. We built these “panels” that you can see in the background out of wood…originally they looked like miniature viking boats because of their crescent moon shape. Then we covered them with various sizes of air duct tubing, styrofoam, and random electrical boxes we rented from a prop house called lcw. Final stage was to spray paint everything with a glossy black and adding some vaseline to give the walls an extra slimy-wet look. The band was placed on this large moving turntable most of the time, it was disgustingly heavy. After most of us wrapped at hour 18, I was interested to see how they were going to incorporate the mannequin I bought; the one they later set on fire. After seeing the final product, the effects guys did a completely amazing job with the post work and I was floored by the amount of they accomplished with such a tough deadline. Well enjoy guys!
why is it so cute?!
my favorite thing about spring time is and forever will be…
these are pictures of the inside of the trailer we bought for our indie movie titled “mall”
it was originally from the movie called the dalton sea. we bought it, cleaned it, i shopped for the inside furniture and then decorated.
then we set it on fire!
